My Gear

  • Camera - Sony A 7 III (and lens Sony FE 24-105 F4 G)

I jumped to Sony cameras after they aced the mirrorless concept. I used to be a Nikon person, but I read so many good things from Sony that decided to give a go to a Sony Alpha a6300. It was so good that when I decided to dedicate more time and effort to photography, I sold it and got my wonderful A7 III. I’m super happy in the Sony environment, and the dynamic range of this camera is just amazing.

I got as kit lens the incredible 24-105 F4. It’s just perfect. It has a useful focus range, the aperture is F4 all through, and it’s really strong and durable

  • Telephoto lens - Sigma 100-400 Contemporary

The only drawback of the Sony system (for a non-professional photographer) is the cost of the original lenses. I’m not questioning the quality, but the price is just too high for someone that does this as a hobby. Sigma came to the rescue with some amazing lenses for the Sony e-mount, and this is the perfect example. Impressive zoom, with a decent aperture, and a durable body.

  • Wide lens - Sigma 14-24 F2.8 Art

In the same price range than the telephoto, Sigma has this great wide angle lens under its “Art” line. Super fast F2.8 all along the focal range, if I could ask for an improvement, it would be the ability to use standard filters.

  • Backpack - F-Stop Ajna

My trusted bag, super spacious, strong and comfortable. Apart from the good opinions I read, their customer service is just amazing. They guided me on what bag to get, what gear pack to add, and the delivery was quick and easy.

This is the basic kit I take with me on my photography trips. Of course I adapt it depending on the trip length, weather conditions, etc. But the starting point is always this kit.
